EHS Project Manager
The EHS Project Manager ensures that all assigned projects – primarily based in Nove Mesto nad Vahom, but also across other EMEA manufacturing locations - are delivered safely and in full compliance with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.
Job content:
- Lead the integration of EHS requirements into all project phases from design to execution.
- Ensure „safety by design“ principles are applied to new installations, processes and technologies.
- Act as the primary EHS interface for project teams, engineering and contractors.
- Identify, assess and mitigate risks related to project activities – work closely with EHS coordinators who are responsible for documenting new risks and measures into company system.
- Oversee risk assessment and ensure proper controls are in place.
- Ensure compliance with local legislation, corporate standards and permit requirements.
- Support Project managers in embedding EHS deliverables into project plans, timelines and budgets.
- Monitor project execution to ensure alignment with expectations.
- Participate in project reviews, audits, and gate approvals.
- Define EHS requirements for contractors and project vendors.
- Ensure proper contractor onboarding, qualification and supervision.
- Monitor site activities to ensure safe execution during construction and installation phases.
- Ensure zero-harm mindset across all project activities.
- Investigate project-related incidents or near misses and implement corrective actions.
- Capture and share lessons learned to continuosly improve future project execution.
- Collaborate with EHS, Operations, Engineering, VOS, Maintenance and other functions involved in the project implementations.
- Support leadership in decision-making related to project EHS risks.
- Ensure all documentation is completed (risk assesment, permits, compliance records).
- Track and report EHS KPIs related to the projects.
Required/ Minimum Qualifications: -
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental, or in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management and/or project management in manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of:
· EHS regulations and compliance requirements.
· Machinery safety.
· Risk Assessment methodologies.
- Emergency management expertise.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
Required experience:
- Strong safety leadership with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels to drive a proactive EHS culture.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Professional communication skills with workers, management, and external authorities.
- Excellent team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Time Travel Needed: 10 - 30%. The percentage may vary, depending on the projects.

The anticipated salary range for this role in the Nové Mesto nad Váhom locality is between 33 739€ to 42 174€ gross per year —salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. Compensation ranges are determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria including skills, experience, and job responsibilities. In addition to the salary listed above, a detailed overview of additional compensation, including bonuses and benefits, will be provided during the initial interview.
