Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an EKG Tech, you will perform diagnostic electrocardiograms (EKGs) to assess cardiac function.Every day you will prepare patients, explain procedures, and accurately operate EKG machines to record heart activity, ensuring comfort and high-quality readings.To be successful, you will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, meticulous data collection, and excellent patient communication, contributing to accurate cardiac diagnostics.
- Performs computer assisted EKG's, transfers data. Edits EKG reports
- Applies/removes and scans holter monitors
- Processes Results of Tran telephonic Reports - Assigns and Evaluates
- Assists the MD/RN during patient diagnostic testing procedures as requested
- Retrieves necessary equipment and supplies for patient diagnostic testing
- Assists in patient/equipment preparation
Job Requirements
Required
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CT CPRBLS)
Preferred
- High School Graduate General Studies and 1-3 years One year healthcare experience
