Wood is currently recruiting for a Electrical Commmissioning Engineer to join our team for a large-scale challenging construction project. We are looking for individuals with expertise and experience who are ready to take on new challenges and assist us achieve excellence in schedule, safety, and quality.

The Electrical Engineer will support the Commissioning team by developing, organizing, and executing all electrical aspects of Commissioning System Definition, including system boundaries, tag allocation, documentation preparation, and readiness for Mechanical Completion (MC) and Commissioning.

This role ensures safe, efficient, and systematic handover of electrical systems from Construction to Commissioning to Operations.

What makes you remarkable?

  • Develop electrical commissioning system and subsystem breakdown (MV, LV, UPS, MCC, Motors)
  • Define electrical system boundaries using SLDs, load lists, isolation points, and engineering deliverables
  • Assign all electrical tags and equipment to commissioning systems in alignment with project definitions
  • Prepare MC/Commissioning documents and turnover package requirements
  • Support pre‑commissioning activities: megger, continuity, relay testing, MCC functional tests
  • Assist in planning and execution of electrical energization sequences and system readiness reviews
  • Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Instrumentation, and Construction teams to align system split and to confirm installation readiness for turnover
  • Ensure compliance with electrical standards and project specifications, and HSE requirements
  • Responsible for SAT and Vendor Management.
  • Support in STQs
  • Procedure Development for Commissioning & Start-up
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Min of 3 years’ experience in electrical engineering (design, construction, commissioning) within Refinery Petrochemical / Chemical / Power Projects
  • Strong knowledge of MV/LV distribution, transformers, switchgear, MCC, UPS, electrical protection and relay system
  • Experience with electrical testing and commissioning procedures
  • Knowledge of hazardous area classification is an advantage
  • Familiarity with system turnover, MC packs, and completions workflow.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities
