In the role of Electrical Construction Inspector, we'll count on you to\:

  • Demonstrate familiarity with a broad spectrum of construction materials, methods and processes for buildings and facilities
  • Conduct inspection of electrical, controls, high/low voltage systems, fiber, etc. at Transportation facilities like Airports, Tunnels, Bridges, Terminals, Transit, Ports, etc.
  • Collaborate with other field representatives or Project Managers
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents
  • Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses
  • Oversee testing, commissioning and acceptance of specialized electrical systems.
  • Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or NICET Level II certification or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in construction inspection of electrical power and communications work on major transportation/infrastructure projects for public agencies, such as PANYNJ, MTA, NJ Transit, NJTA, NJDOT.
  • Excellent Organizational and communication skills required.
  • OSHA 30-hour training
  • PE license in New York or New Jersey
  • Preference given to local candidates
