Electrical Engineer IV

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer IV in New York, NY.

Job Details:

  • Support the design and analysis of traction power distribution systems, including substations, overhead catenary systems, and third rail systems
  • Support the development of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment layouts using CAD software
  • Perform calculations related to voltage drop, current flow, and power system performance
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and construction documents
  • Conduct field inspections and site visits to gather data and observe construction activities
  • Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and codes

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field of study and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

  1. Electrical Power Distribution
  2. Voltage Drop Calculation
  3. Electrified rail transit systems, including AC and DC systems
  4. Traction power AC and DC High and Low Voltage systems, including relaying, rectifier, distribution, and SCADA equipment
  5. AREMA and IEEE standards for Traction Power design
  6. Revit, Auto-CAD, and Microstation
  7. OpenBuildings
  8. Agi32
  9. ETAP
  10. SKM
