Electrical Engineer

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as technical expert at a multi-purpose hydroelectric facility in the Engineering and Contracts Section. Responsible for a variety of functions in support of the large hydropower plant, fish passage systems, navigation lock, and spillway.

Troubleshoot unusual circumstances, locates problems, formulates plan of action, develops precedents, identifies and defines requirements, designs new or modifications, etc.

Analyze complex electrical engineering problems and develops cost-effective and viable solutions.

Evaluate alternatives, considering all factors such as: technical, environmental, fisheries, and economic concerns; and recommends best course of action.

Design modifications to existing power generation system.

Integrate state-of-the-art technology into the evaluation of existing power generation system.

Design, specify, and supervise installation of digital and analog equipment to control all dam systems.

Provide technical support for the Data Acquisition and Control system for software and hardware.
