ELECTRICAL HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE REPAIRER

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose faults in household electrical appliances such as washing machines, refrigerators, dryers, ovens, cookers and other common home appliances.
• Carry out repair, servicing, installation and maintenance work according to company procedures.
• Replace or repair defective components, wiring, switches, motors, compressors and other appliance parts where required.
• Test appliances after repair to ensure they are functioning safely and correctly.
• Attend on-site service appointments at customers’ premises when required.
• Provide clear explanations to customers on appliance issues, repair options and basic maintenance advice.
• Keep proper records of repair work, parts used and service reports.
• Maintain tools, equipment and workplace cleanliness.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and electrical safety standards at all times.
• Support other ad-hoc technical duties assigned by the company.

Requirements

• Relevant hands-on experience in household electrical appliance repair, servicing or maintenance.
• Able to troubleshoot common appliance faults and carry out basic electrical repair work safely.
• Knowledge of household appliance components, wiring, motors and electrical systems will be an advantage.
• Able to read basic technical diagrams, service manuals or repair instructions.
• Responsible, careful and able to work independently.
• Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new repair methods.
• Able to attend service jobs at different customer locations when required.
• Basic customer service skills and a positive working attitude.
