Electrical Project Engineer

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Business in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.

• Developing and releasing electrical schematic drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM) for Motor Control Center (MCC) projects configurations following UL/NEC standards.

• Taking ownership of assigned orders from design to release, ensuring on-time delivery and first-time-right quality standards.

• Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.

• Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects.

• Coordinating with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, project management, and quality to ensure accurate and timely order release.

• Identifying, documenting, and following up on engineering discrepancies through established tools to drive continuous improvement.

• Utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor´s Degree in Automation, mechatronic or electrical engineering.

• 2+ years of experience in positions as electrical project engineer or automation project engineer.

• Experience in electrical software as EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, Windchill & CREO.

• Experience in Electrical Power Distribution Systems & Metal sheet Manufacturing.

• Understanding of power systems, such as low-voltage technology, power system analysis, and protection relay.

• Project management skills.

• Demonstrated ability in analyzing and solving problems.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Advanced English level.
