Electrician Helper

This vacancy is for a WG-2805-5, Electrician Helper located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Coast Guard Academy, Facilities Engineering Division, Public Works, New London, CT.

You will serve as a Electrician Helper and be responsible for assisting higher-graded employees in installing, modifying, repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting, testing, and loading new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures, controls, and equipment. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Assisting in assembling and installing parts Getting tools and supplies Carrying materials Lifting and holding materials in place during repair operations Cleaning tools, machines, and equipment Keeping the work area clean and orderly
