Electrician

As an Electrician at our Millington facility, you will assemble, install, and test electrical systems while routing conduit, wiring, and components in accordance with NEC code and detailed blueprints. This role includes troubleshooting, performing quality checks, maintaining a safe work environment, and collaborating with the team to complete projects efficiently, with opportunities to mentor others based on experience level.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Install switchgear and electrical components into custom‑built metal equipment centers.
Plan layouts and install wiring, electrical fixtures, and control equipment such as switches, relays, and circuit breakers.
Read, interpret, and follow electrical drawings and engineered designs to meet customer specifications.
Perform electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and testing as required.
Use hand tools and power tools to complete electrical installations safely and efficiently.
Follow NEC code requirements and company electrical standards.
Operate forklifts and material‑handling equipment as needed.
YOU HAVE:
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical field or as an Electrical Helper.
Experience installing and working with electrical systems, wiring, and control equipment.
Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, tape measures, grinders, and saws.
Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, reach, and work on ladders for extended periods in physically demanding production environments
Frequent use of hands and fingers for fine manipulation, tool use, and repetitive tasks, requiring full range of motion in upper extremities
Ability to lift, push, and pull materials and equipment up to 50 lbs, including moving carts and production materials
Comfortable working in variable conditions including high noise levels (85+ dba), dust, heat, cold, confined spaces, heights, and around moving machinery
Requires strong coordination, vision, communication skills, and sustained focus to safely operate equipment, follow instructions, and perform tasks simultaneously

Pay Transparency
nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range:
Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
