Job Overview:


Canadian Disaster Response Organization (CDRO) currently offers three service portfolios for our growing customer base, including Deployment Services, Advisory Services, and Education Services. The Emergency Management Professional - Deployment Services will be responsible for the execution of assignments and creation of artifacts / deliverables as required.


Deployment Services includes the provision of deployment services as required during a client engagement.


Excellent communication and team collaboration skills are essential for this role. Demonstrated experience is a must have requirement, and where certification for role specific activities can demonstrated would be essential. Mentoring opportunities are available to successful incumbents to further broaden their deployment credentials. Success will be measured using multiple variables including but not limited to customer satisfaction and the number of times deployed.




Responsibilities & Duties:

An Emergency Management Professional assigned to the role of deployment services will be required to fulfil the following responsibilities and duties:


· Responsibility: Must be available on short notice to mobilize within 24 hours of request and be self-sufficient for at least 24 hours of response assignment.

· Responsibility: Must have working knowledge of the Incident Command System

· Responsibility: Must understand the needs of and provide support to their counterparts within the team for specific operations, techniques and application of tools and equipment.

· Responsibility: Must maintain excellent working relationships with CDRO team participants, Client appointed participants, any other members of the support team, and those affected by the emergency.




Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Arts or Social Science; and/or diploma

· Certificates awarded by ICS Canada and or EMO to demonstrate knowledge of deployment activities.

· 3+ years of experience in emergency management
