Job Summary
Performs and supports site EP functions, programs and processes to ensure programmatic excellence. May be assigned multiple EP functions in support and compliance with the site emergency plan. Develops or possesses detailed knowledge of applicable industry standards and regulations. Partners peers across the site to continuously improve the EP Program and maintain regulatory margin. Interfaces with internal/external stakeholders and regulatory entities to support capabilities and relationships that support the EP Program. May travel to other sites in the fleet in support of EP program maintenance, include drill/exercise support.Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
- Provides Emergency Preparedness expertise and knowledge in support of the EP Program.
- Supports the drill and exercise program by performing or supporting scenario development, evaluation, reporting, and performance improvement.
- Generally assigned an EP function(s) as either the primary or secondary for the site.
- Keeps EP Leadership apprised of issues pertaining to compliance, continuous improvement, or relationships.
- Develops a network of industry peers through professional development, such as industry working groups, conferences, or trainings.
- Advocate and present ideas for continuous improvement of the EP program.
- Support or lead programmatic changes and innovation activities.
- Support or lead cause analysis, when appropriate, to understand drivers to gaps identified in the EP Program.
- Other duties, as assigned by EP Leadership.
Education, Experience & Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical area, emergency management, or closely related field and 5 years industry experience OR Applicable Professional certs/quals (e.g., Licensed Operator, CHP, CEM, PMP, PE, SRO CERT) within 1 year of hiring and 5 years combined of EP and Plant work experience.
- Strong quantitative skills and business acumen.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
