Your Role as Employee Experience Coordinator

In this role you will support the delivery of initiatives that strengthen employee voice, connection, recognition, wellbeing and engagement across the organisation. You will work in the Employee Experience team, contributing to programs that help employees feel heard, valued, supported and connected to WMQ’s purpose, values and strategy. You will work closely with leaders and teams to understand the diverse needs of WMQ’s workforce and support practical, locally relevant employee experience initiatives. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, flexibility, curiosity and the ability to understand and appreciate the complexity of our diverse services

You’ll deliver this role by:

  • Coordinate employee experience projects, activities and events from planning through to delivery, ensuring timelines, stakeholders, resources and communications are well managed.
  • Support survey planning, communications, participation strategies and follow-up activities to build employee trust, understanding and engagement with feedback processes.
  • Support the design, coordination and continuous improvement of WMQ’s reward and recognition initiatives, ensuring they are meaningful, inclusive and aligned to WMQ’s values and strategic priorities.
  • Coordinate recognition initiatives and employee events, including service milestone recognition, strategy-aligned awards, team engagement activities and values-led organisational events.
  • Assist managers and teams to embed practical recognition and appreciation activities that celebrate the moments that matter and spotlight excellence across services.
  • Support the development and delivery of employee wellbeing initiatives that contribute to the social, mental and physical wellbeing of employees.
  • Coordinate wellbeing-related initiatives, campaigns, resources or activities that promote connection, support and positive employee experience.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with leaders, employees and corporate services partners to support the effective design and delivery of employee experience initiatives.
  • Act as a visible and approachable representative of the Employee Experience team, helping build trust, awareness and engagement across the workforce.
  • Support a locally responsive approach to employee experience by helping tailor programs, resources and communications to different service contexts.

  • Ability to work with complexity, ambiguity and changing priorities in a responsive and solutions-focused way.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions.

A Valuable Addition, Yet Not a Must-Have!

  • Tertiary qualifications in human resources, health and wellbeing, business or similar
  • Mental Health First Aid accredited

Essential Requirements

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy)
  • Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.
  • Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work
