This role is responsible for applying basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices in electrical engineering to support NPD, sustaining and productivity designs that have limited complexity. This role will be heavily involved in testing and troubleshooting electrical designs in support of sustaining, production, and new product development projects.

  • Facilitate the review of moderately complex customer orders, ensuring their accuracy, and creating the design for custom products and releasing it as needed; develop a strong understanding of Systems products and offerings
  • Use various software to design product models of control boxes; problem-solve manufacturing issues and redesigns models as necessary
  • Facilitate in the evaluation of sensors for compatibility, scope sequence of operations for products and check compatibility with firmware
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical circuits by using common test equipment such as power supplies, signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and network analyzer
  • Write technical documentation such as specifications and test reports to support project deliverables
  • Build prototype electrical circuits by using basic soldering skills and basic project management skills
  • Design electrical circuits and PCBs using Altium Designer
  • Analyze and simulate electrical circuits
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

  • An advanced degree in a directly applicable area of study may substitute for work related experience

  • UL 508A MTR or ability to acquire certification within 1 year of employment

  • 1+ years of job-related experience as defined in the Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Knowledge typically acquired through some on-the-job training

  • Works under direction and typically follows protocols

  • Asks effective questions and solicits feedback to understand needs

  • Ability to independently work under general direction, guided by assignment objectives.

  • Strong understanding of core business processes and the purpose of the functional area.

  • Working Knowledge in a specialty/role and is given multiple work assignments for handling.

  • Ability to develop partnerships both inside and outside area of expertise

  • Ability to simplify complex ideas and concepts for non-technical users

  • Able to travel up to 10% - domestically and international

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Six Sigma Green Belt certification
    • Experience with electrical components, proximity sensors, radar sensors, switch mode power supplies, power management circuits, motor control circuits, analog circuits
    • Experience with wireless communication standards like Wi-Fi or Bluetooth
    • Ability to work within cross functional teams to create electro-mechanical products; strong analytical skills; effective communication skills; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

The pay range for this position is $60,400.00 - $114,025.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
