About the role
We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Hamilton team, delivering innovative building services solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys combining technical delivery with project involvement and client engagement, while continuing to grow their expertise.
In this role, you’ll contribute to the design and delivery of electrical building services across a range of projects, while supporting clients and project teams with expert advice.
You will:
- Deliver electrical engineering designs and technical solutions across building services projects
- Undertake investigations, analysis, and design to solve complex engineering problems
- Contribute to project planning, scoping and delivery of small to medium projects
- Act as Project or Task Manager where required, ensuring client expectations are met
- Prepare and manage contract documentation and support construction phase delivery
- Apply your knowledge of NZ electrical codes, standards, and design practices
- Work with tools such as BIM/Revit and electrical design modelling software
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to integrated design outcomes
- Mentor and support junior engineers, sharing knowledge and building capability
- Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development opportunities
About you
You’ll be a capable and solutions-focused Electrical Engineer who enjoys working across design, delivery and client engagement.
You will bring:
- A BE in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Around 5+ years’ experience in electrical engineering within the building services sector
- Knowledge of NZ electrical standards, codes and design practices
- Experience using design modelling tools (e.g. BIM/Revit or similar)
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality technical work and contribute to projects
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and client-focused approach
- A current, clean driver’s licence
