Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead complete project lifecycle: RFQ → Design → Validation → Production → SOP
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones
  • Define scope, deliverables, and resource requirements
  • Ensure adherence to APQP / PPAP process

2. Customer Technical Interface

  • Understand customer requirements, specifications and support Sales to secure new businesses
  • Provide technical recommendations for filtration solutions
  • Support OEMs (e.g., Daimler Truck, Mahindra & Mahindra, JCB, Ashok Leyland, Escort, Sonalika) during development and validation stages
  • Handle technical queries, deviations, and field issues

3. Application Engineering & Product Development

  • Work on RFQs/SOR and selection of air cleaners, filters, and intake systems
  • Customize products based on application requirements (engine, environment, space constraints)
  • Support new product development (NPD) and localization activities
  • Conduct design reviews and risk analysis (FMEA support)

4. Testing & Validation

  • Coordinate with lab for performance validation (dust holding capacity, efficiency, restriction, vibration, water ingestion, etc.)
  • Interpret test results and provide engineering conclusions

5. Cross-functional Coordination

  • Work closely with:
    • Sales to work on RFQs/SOR /New Opportunities
    • R&D teams for design optimization
    • Manufacturing for feasibility and cost improvements
    • Quality for issue resolution and continuous improvement
  • Support VAVE activities to optimize cost without compromising performance

6. Field Support & Problem Solving

  • Investigating field failures and customer complaints
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Support on-site visits and customer audits when required

7. Documentation & Reporting

  • Lead IATF and other customer Audits from Engineering
  • Prepare technical reports, validation summaries, and customer presentations
  • Maintain application data, test records, and engineering documentation

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Automotive / Production Engineering

Technical Competence & Skills:

  • Preferred understanding of:
    • Air filtration systems and intake design
    • Engine requirements and airflow concepts
  • Knowledge of testing standards and validation methods
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication and customer-handling ability
  • Familiarity with tools like CAD, Excel, and basic data analysis
  • Experience with OEM customers (CV / Off-highway)
  • Exposure to lab testing and validation
  • Knowledge of IATF, FMEA, GD&T and APQP processes
  • Experience in localization and cost reduction projects

  • 5-10 Years in Application Engineering/Project Management /Product Development/NPD
  • Preferebly Filteration
