Engineer, Industrial

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the production work package in PEP project and ensure the objectives of each milestone are met.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining production documents and milestone report.
  • Assist in analyzing workflows, production processes, and production layouts to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with R&D for product development phase, provide process FMEA and assist in lab sample building and testing.
  • Generate technical specifications and liaise with cross-functional departments, as well as internal and external suppliers, for the realization of production equipment.
  • Responsible for the procurement of production tools and equipment through the e-procurement system and EDB procurement tool.
  • Assist in managing prototype and pilot builds in close collaboration with the production work package.
  • Own the qualification of manufacturing processes in cooperation with production team.
  • Ensure quality control procedures to resolve production problems or minimize costs.
  • Assist in cycle time studies, motion studies, and production capacity planning.
  • Support the design and implementation of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimally a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience such as internships or project experience in process improvement, operations, or manufacturing is a plus.
  • Familiar with Lean, Six SIgma or Kaizen methodologies.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software. (E.g., Solidworks/ NX)
  • Working knowledge of PFMEA, root cause analysis, and tolerance analysis.
  • Able to work together and collaborate with the team effectively and efficiently.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and face challenges head on and with creativity to resolve problems.
