Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineering (Process)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop/Characterize, validate & verify new process dev for NPI products to successful qualify
- Design and develop processes to optimize efficient process flow, reduce process or product variability, improve process capability
- Develop process improvements for high efficiency and cost effectiveness
- Develop and maintain process optimization and validation programs
- Evaluate current processes and provide recommendations
- To review & buyoff process CTQs data, PFMEA, control plan, SPC
- To work close with design team for new packing/giftbox construction relate to process window/guideline
- Sustaining production process/assembly engineering management: Yield/Cycle time/production efficiency CIP
- Cost saving initiative from product and process introduction
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor/Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in Mechanical Process & Assembly engineering. Good understanding of general EMS industry processes, materials, technology and trends, such as front end & back end experience, eg SMT, tooling & mechanical assembly
PREFERRED:
Added SMT process experience & knowledge is preferable
Added experience in assembly process jigs and fixtures development
Added experience in packing assembly build backend process, eg blister sealing, packing automation, marking/printing, labeling
Has strong ownership and give commitment to company goals and team goals
Self-motivated and is willing to take challenge and improvements
Able to work under pressure and required to work over-time to meet tight project schedule
Knowledge of PFMEA & Quality 6sigma tools
Knowledge of DOE/CZ simulation tool for process optimization
SKILLS:
Good team work and constructive problem solving skills, Root Cause analysis, strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated strong work ethic
Experience and good communication with local CM and supplier to solve issue
