Engineer, Mechanical Engineering
Role Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the AHU product development
- Responsible for AHU product testing & certification
- Responsible for the AHU selection software development and maintenance
- Conduct design analysis on components and/or assemblies, when required, to ensure that designs are cost efficient, manufacturable, and reliable
- Support AHU order processing, generating and maintaining AHU product engineering data (parts/components drawing, bill-of-materials) as per unit selection and customer requirements
- Support customers’ enquiries (technical support, certified drawings, BIM models)
- Familiar with continuous improvement activities, practice and support Carrier Excellence activities in accordance to corporate requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent with 2-5 years experience in HVAC industry
- Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia
- Working experience in Air Handling Unit (AHU) with good understanding of HVAC systems, comfort air and indoor air quality (IAQ)
- Working experience in product development process including prototyping, testing, check samples, part qualification, pilot runs etc.
- Knowledgeable in HVAC selection tools like psychrometric chart, heat exchanger selection and fan selection
- Knowledgeable in stress analysis simulation
- Knowledgeable in manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, extrusion, molding, finishing process and unit assembly
- Basic knowledge of electrical, electronics and controls are required.
- Strong skill in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD Mechanical, Autodesk Inventor Professional, Creo and equivalent)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems (BAAN/SAP)
- Effective project management skill and experience is required
- Able to work independently and a good team player, working and communicating with different levels and various departments
- Possess a continuous improvement and change mindset to improve products and processes
