Role Summary<\/b>
<\/p>

The NPI Engineer is responsible for leading the mechanical\naspect of new product introduction from concept through production launch. This\nrole ensures product designs are manufacturable, cost\-effective, and meet\nquality and timeline requirements. The engineer will collaborate with\ncross\-functional teams including design, manufacturing, quality, and supply\nchain to ensure a smooth product transition into mass production.

Key Responsibilities<\/b>
<\/p>

1. Product Development & Design Support<\/b>
<\/p>

  • Work\n with R&D/design teams to review mechanical designs for\n manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA)
    <\/li>
  • Provide\n inputs on materials, tolerances, and design optimization
    <\/li>
  • Support\n prototype builds and validation testing
    <\/li>
  • Identify\n and resolve design\-related issues before production
    <\/li><\/ul>

    2. New Product Introduction (NPI) Execution<\/b>
    <\/p>

    • Drive\n NPI activities from prototype to pilot runs and mass production
      <\/li>
    • Develop\n and execute NPI project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
      <\/li>
    • Coordinate\n engineering builds (EVT, DVT, PVT stages where applicable)
      <\/li>
    • Ensure\n readiness of manufacturing processes prior to launch
      <\/li><\/ul>

      3. Manufacturing Process Development<\/b>
      <\/p>

      • Define\n and validate assembly processes, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions
        <\/li>
      • Collaborate\n with production teams to establish efficient manufacturing workflows
        <\/li>
      • Conduct\n process capability studies and implement improvements
        <\/li><\/ul>

        4. Supplier & Component Management<\/b>
        <\/p>

        • Work\n with suppliers to develop and qualify new components
          <\/li>
        • Support\n supplier selection, tooling validation, and PPAP submissions
          <\/li>
        • Ensure\n parts meet design specifications, quality, and cost targets
          <\/li><\/ul>

          5. Quality & Risk Management<\/b>
          <\/p>

          • Participate\n in DFMEA / PFMEA and risk mitigation activities
            <\/li>
          • Support\n root cause analysis and corrective actions for NPI issues
            <\/li>
          • Ensure\n compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
            <\/li><\/ul>

            6. Documentation & Reporting<\/b>
            <\/p>

            • Maintain\n complete NPI documentation: BOM, drawings, change requests (ECO/ECN)
              <\/li>
            • Track\n project status, risks, and key metrics
              <\/li>
            • Prepare\n reports and updates for stakeholders and management
              <\/li><\/ul>

              Required Qualifications<\/b>
              <\/p>

              Education<\/b>
              <\/p>

              • Bachelor\u2019s\n degree in mechanical engineering or related field
                <\/li><\/ul>

                Experience<\/b>
                <\/p>

                • 5\u20138\n years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in NPI or\n product development
                  <\/li>
                • Experience\n in manufacturing or high\-volume production environments preferred
                  <\/li><\/ul>


                  <\/div>

                  Technical Skills<\/b>
                  <\/p>

                  • Strong\n knowledge of mechanical design fundamentals
                    <\/li>
                  • Proficiency\n in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, NX, etc.)
                    <\/li>
                  • Experience\n with:
                    <\/li>
                    • DFM\n / DFA principles
                      <\/li>
                    • GD&T\n (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
                      <\/li>
                    • Material\n selection & manufacturing processes (machining, injection moulding,\n sheet metal, casting)
                      <\/li><\/ul>
                    • Familiarity\n with:
                      <\/li>
                      • APQP,\n PPAP, FMEA methodologies
                        <\/li>
                      • Root\n cause analysis techniques (8D, Fishbone, etc.)
