Engineer Piping
Role Purpose:
- Responsible for the technical aspects of a particular assigned job to achieve a correct, complete and coordinated design deliverables (ie. calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, etc…);
- Assists Lead/Senior piping engineer in achieving project completion within budget and on schedule;
- Works independently or with Lead/Senior Engineer in the detailed design;
- To plan, monitor and track the day-to-day engineering activities and contractor’s site progress;
Job Responsibilities:
- Assists in the preparation and maintaining the Project job file, data books, drawings, specification lists, lists of required design data and design change notices;
- Assists in preparing Piping material specifications, pipe stress, pipe support specifications
- Assists in preparing Plot plan and Equipment layout drawings;
- Prepare / Review Piping General Arrangement drawings;
- Prepare / Review isometric drawings and vessel trim drawings;
- Prepares Tie-in List and Tie-in Location plan;
- Performs pipe stress analysis for critical lines;
- Review of standard Pipe support and Piping detail drawings;
- Conducts material take-offs and compile Piping Bill of material;
- Prepares material requisition for Manual valve, Bulk Pipe/fitting and Specialty item;
- Assists in preparation of Piping subcontract requisition.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Design and construction experience in Petrochemical, Refinery and chemical industry preferred
- Experience in Plant Design and Piping engineering works
- Basic understanding of Equipment/Piping layout and space management
