Engineering - Duty Engineer
This position is to assist the Chief Engineer during daily operation within Engineering department:
To ensure seamless 24/7 operation of all hotel MEP utilities and systems during the assigned shift. The goal: guests never feel any disruption to electricity, AC, hot water, elevators, etc. The Duty Engineer is the "pilot" of the hotel during nights, weekends, and holidays - the first decision-maker for any emergency or breakdown.
What you will be doing:
Techanical Engineering Operation
Monitoring: Conduct BMS panel rounds every 2 hours for electricity, HVAC, chillers, boilers, generators, pumps, elevators, WTP/STP. Log all reading
- Shift Preventive Maintenance: Execute minor PMs per shift schedule: AHU filter changes, generator oil checks, emergency light tests, cooling tower flushing
- Breakdown Response: Respond <5 mins for power failure, AC down, no water, stuck elevator. Perform isolation, bypass, or generator startup per SOP
- Energy Management: Control electrical load during peak demand. Adjust AC setpoints for public areas at night to save energy without affecting guest comfort
- Safety & Compliance: Test fire alarms, smoke detectors, sprinkler zones per schedule. Enforce LOTO during work. Check for gas/refrigerant leaks.
- Minimum 2-3 years previous experience within similar role as Engineering Supervisor and or Duty Engineer
- Good communications skills, both written and verbal in Bahasa Indonesia and English
- Good knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Civil work or HVAC, Kitchen and Laundry
- Working experience in 5* hotel operation is highly regarded
