Engineering Manager

What’s in it for you

Reporting to the Head of Facilities, you will own the Club's engineering and building maintenance operations, while managing the engineering team to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable facility performance


We are looking for someone who has

  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in facilities management

  • In-depth technical knowledge in building and facilities management, CERT, risk assessment and workplace safety and health

  • Capability to problem solve and make rational decisions under pressure

  • Strong communication

  • Proactive follow-through

  • Flexibility to work beyond regular hours, weekends and public holidays

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to)

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of building condition, equipment, and mechanical plant; identify maintenance needs and implement actions to ensure safe, efficient, and optimal operations

  • Oversee and coordinate all engineering-related requests as well as the club’s maintenance planning and defect rectification, ensure timely completion of works with minimal disruption

  • Drive the club’s sustainability targets by identifying and implementing energy management and green building initiatives

  • Mentor the Engineering team; oversee staffing, deployment, training, and performance to ensure operational excellence

  • Lead risk assessment for the Engineering team and ensure full compliance at all times

  • Manage departmental budgets, CapEx, and purchases, and ensure timely renewal of service agreements, certifications, and permits

  • Liaise with relevant authorities to ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental, and statutory requirements

  • Oversee and coordinate all engineering upgrading projects

  • Provide relevant support for club events and any other responsibilities assigned
