Grosvenor Mine has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Engineering Superintendent to join the team on a permanent basis, based in Moranbah, QLD. This is your opportunity to join a team to implement best practice initiatives and where you can really drive your future career.

In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of the Capital projects, equipment overhauls and maintenance targets in compliance with the statutory requirements contained within the Coal Mining Act and Regulations.

Reporting to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager, the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Lead a team of engineering and technical trade personnel.
  • Supporting the delivery against short range forecast and budget for Safety, Productivity and Cost through the effective portfolio management, planning and execution of projects.
  • Providing technical advice to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager on means to optimise equipment availability and reliability.
  • Submitting budget and schedule variations to management for approval and manage cost effectively.
  • Ensuring appropriate risk management and independent review processes have been carried out.
  • Ensuring compliance with Engineering Standards for all plant and equipment.
  • Control, manage and report maintenance KPI’s
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of project scope and optimise opportunities.
  • Leadership experience within an underground coal mine.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analysis, problem solving and attention to detail.
  • Electrical Degree/ Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience using Pronto (desirable) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of commitment to safety.
  • Full-time permanent position based at Grosvenor Mine, Moranbah QLD
  • Monday to Friday role with 9-day fortnight available
