ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (MECHANICAL)

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. You will prepare designs and specifications for project contract solicitation and execution primarily involving repair, maintenance, and new construction of mechanical systems and other utilities systems with mechanical components.

You will perform designs, mechanical calculations, equipment selections, write Request for Proposals (RFPs) and specifications, and prepare drawings and construction cost estimates.

You will review, assess, and resolve construction and design problems encountered during the performance of projects assigned.

You will provide technical support to include reviewing/approving contractor's Quality Management System (QMS) and reporting deficiencies to the Facilities Support Contracts Manager (FSCM) or the Contracting Officer.

You will maintain awareness of current advances in mechanical engineering design, materials, construction methods, and Department of Defense (DoD) criteria.
