Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>

As an English Language Teacher at ICS Khalifa City, you will be responsible for delivering high\-quality English Language Arts instruction to students in Cycle 2 (Grades 6\-8) and Cycle 3 (Grades 9\-10). You will inspire a love for language and literature, develop critical thinking skills, and prepare students for future academic success within an American educational framework.<\/p>

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>

• Design, prepare, and deliver engaging English Language Arts lessons aligned with the American curriculum.<\/p><\/li>

• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.<\/p><\/li>

• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.<\/p><\/li>

• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student development and well\-being.<\/p><\/li>

• Actively participate in school events, professional development, and extracurricular activities.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

  Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Literature, Linguistics, or a closely related field from an accredited university.<\/p><\/li>

  • Master's degree in Education, English, or a relevant subject area is highly preferred.<\/p><\/li>

  • Valid teaching license or Teaching Diploma. <\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    Experience Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>

    • Minimum of 4 years of full\-time teaching experience in English Language Arts at the Cycle 2 (Grades 6\-8) and/or Cycle 3 (Grades 9\-10) level.<\/p><\/li>

    • Experience in an international school environment is beneficial.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

      Skills Required:<\/strong><\/p>

      • Pedagogical Expertise:<\/strong><\/p><\/li>

      • Proficiency in designing, delivering, and assessing engaging English Language Arts lessons aligned with American curriculum standards.<\/p><\/li>

      • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including English Language Learners and students with varied learning styles.<\/p><\/li>

      • Strong classroom management skills to ensure a productive and respectful learning environment.<\/p><\/li>

      • Technical Skills:<\/strong><\/p><\/li>

      • Competency in integrating educational technology (e.g., Learning Management Systems, interactive whiteboards, digital resources) to enhance teaching and learning.<\/p><\/li>

      • Data analysis skills to inform instructional decisions and monitor student progress.<\/p><\/li>

      • Soft Skills:<\/strong><\/p><\/li>

      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.<\/p><\/li>

      • Strong interpersonal skills, fostering collaborative relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.<\/p><\/li>

        Curriculum Knowledge:<\/strong><\/p>

        • In\-depth understanding and practical experience with the American curriculum, specifically the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for English Language Arts (ELA).<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

          UAE\-Specific Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>

          • Compliance with all regulations and licensing requirements set forth by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK).<\/p><\/li>

          • Successful completion of the ADEK teacher licensing process upon appointment.<\/p><\/li>

          • Understanding and respect for local Emirati culture and traditions.<\/p><\/li>

          • All educational qualifications must be attested by the UAE Embassy in the country of origin and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the UAE upon arrival.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>
