The opportunity:

The Sales team at Flexport is critical to our mission, fostering deep, lasting relationships that drive client success and accelerate global trade. As an Account Executive II (Farmer), you operate with independence. You own a portfolio of accounts and are the architect of their success — not just the executor of a plan. Your clients are growing in complexity: multiple trade lanes, operational nuance, and real expansion potential. You know Flexport's product suite well enough to connect client needs to solutions with confidence, and you drive revenue growth within your book without being directed. Senior leadership trusts your judgment on the accounts you own. This is where you move from learning the craft to mastering it.

You will:

- Own the success and retention of a portfolio of Flexport clients, managing relationships independently and proactively — you identify problems before clients raise them.

- Lead all client communications and strategic engagements, including QBRs/MBRs, without requiring support from senior teammates for routine situations.

- Identify and execute cross-sell and upsell opportunities within your book of business, owning the commercial outcome end-to-end.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Product, Sales, and Implementation to solve client problems with urgency and creativity.

- Analyze client performance data to spot trends, anticipate risks, and bring data-backed recommendations to every client conversation.

- Develop a clear point of view on each client's business — not just their Flexport usage, but their supply chain strategy and where Flexport fits.

- Work closely with Hunters from the beginning of the customer journey to ensure a seamless transition and long-term client success.

You should have:

- 3+ years of experience in account management, direct sales, client success, or a similar client-facing role; logistics, supply chain, or SaaS background preferred.

- Proven ability to independently manage a portfolio of accounts, with measurable retention and expansion results.

- A demonstrated track record of identifying and closing cross-sell/upsell opportunities — you move deals forward without being pushed.

- Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable leading senior stakeholder conversations without support.

- Data literacy: you pull insights from client metrics and use them to drive conversations and decisions.

- A 'compliance first' attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry.

You will get:

- Real ownership — your book of business is yours to win, grow, and protect.

- A seat at the table on cross-functional client strategy work with Sales, Product, and Operations.

- Access to a growing product suite and the training to position it effectively.

- Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a hybrid work environment.
