Enterprise Risk Specialist

Role Purpose

The Enterprise Risk Specialist is responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust enterprise risk management framework across FPSO operations, offshore production assets, and major project execution activities.

The role ensures that organizational exposure to operational, project, commercial, HSEQ, and regulatory risks is continuously identified, assessed, and reduced through structured monitoring, assurance activities, and effective mitigation management.

A key function of the role is to build predictive risk intelligence using historical FPSO performance data, offshore operational trends, and project lessons learned to improve future project planning, operational reliability, and decision-making across the production fleet.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Risk Management

  • Develop and maintain an enterprise risk management framework aligned with ISO 31000 and offshore best practices
  • Maintain a consolidated risk register across FPSO assets, offshore projects, and support functions
  • Ensure consistent application of risk governance standards across all operations

Offshore & Operational Risk

  • Identify and monitor operational risks across FPSO assets to ensure safe and reliable production
  • Track risks related to process safety, critical equipment, and marine operations including offloading and shutdowns

Project Risk Management

  • Facilitate risk assessments across EPCIC phases (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning)
  • Provide risk-based input to project and operations leadership for decision-making
  • Monitor cost, schedule, contractor, and execution risks across offshore projects

Predictive Risk Intelligence

  • Develop standardized FPSO lifecycle risk templates
  • Build a centralized historical risk and lessons learned database
  • Analyse downtime events, equipment failures, and operational disruptions
  • Develop predictive benchmarks for:
  • Production downtime risk
  • Maintenance failure trends
  • Marine offloading risks
  • Contractor performance

Assurance & Governance

  • Conduct periodic risk assurance reviews across offshore assets
  • Support audits, inspections, and regulatory/classification society requirements
  • Report key risk indicators (KRIs) to executive leadership

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Certification in Risk Management (IRM, PMI-RMP, ISO 31000 or equivalent)

Experience

  • 5–10+ years in risk management, offshore operations, marine assurance, or project risk roles
  • Strong exposure to FPSO operations, offshore production, or marine engineering environments
  • Experience in risk governance and operational risk analysis
