Equity Research Analyst - Robotics & Hardware (m/f/d)

YOUR ROLE

As an Equity Analyst – Hardware & Robotics, you will bring together a passion for great investments and cutting-edge technology. From Day 1, you will be leveraging BIT Capital's resources, including expert networks, alternative datasets and proprietary research tools, to help us deliver best-in-class returns to our fund investors. Working closely alongside Ingo Lupatelli, Portfolio Manager and Director Research, you will develop original investment theses, contributing directly to buy/sell decisions in a concentrated, high-conviction portfolio.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You conduct bottom-up fundamental research in innovative, publicly traded hardware & robotics companies worldwide, including industrial automation, sensors & actuators, IoT, autonomous driving, robotic-assisted platforms, precision manufacturing, humanoid robotics and adjacent enabling technologies.

  • You are responsible for idea generation, news coverage and data monitoring in your sectors, proactively identifying and calling out opportunities for alpha generation.

  • You perform financial modeling and valuation, using all available data sources to better understand and forecast company KPIs.

  • You cultivate relationships with key sector experts and management teams and participate in major conferences and events.

  • You make BIT Capital's alternative data, artificial intelligence & quantitative capabilities an integral part of your research process, and identify opportunities to improve such capabilities.

  • You are passionate about technology, stocks, investing, and business strategy.

  • Strong academic track record in a technical field such as Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or Mathematics.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience researching investments in a relevant sector, preferably hardware or robotics (equity research, private equity, investment banking or management consulting).
  • Deep understanding of the hardware & robotics industry at technical and business level. Additional relevant industry knowledge (semiconductors, batteries, cleantech, IoT, manufacturing etc.) is a plus.
  • This role requires demonstrated excellence — outstanding academic achievements combined with exceptional impact in previous roles, and clear indicators of exceptional analytical and systems-thinking ability.
