ERP Lead
Wood is recruiting multiple ERP Leads to support our evolving global ERP team. These roles will focus on delivering functional expertise across ERP Finance, Projects, Supply Chain, or Business-as-Usual (BAU) support. Depending on alignment, successful candidates will either play a key role in our global ERP implementation programme or lead ongoing operational system support.
This is a UK-based remote role, and we welcome applications from candidates across the UK.

The Role
This role will work with business stakeholders to support leveraging ERP technology to drive functional objectives and support initiatives to achieve these objectives. You will ensure that ERP Systems activity aligns with business objectives and maximises the effectiveness and competitiveness of Wood. Ensuring maximisation of procedures and efficiency alongside the operational functional teams.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality system support that maximises commercial value while minimising risk, in line with Wood’s policies and processes. You will support the delivery of functional programmes or specialist areas, ensuring system solutions meet business requirements and that processes and data governance are clearly defined, maintained, and optimised. The role may also involve leading a team to ensure the successful delivery of programme objectives and outcomes.

- Supports the ERP Systems Manager in the delivery of effective practice which complements the implementation delivery and blueprint
- Support the ERP Systems Manager in leading function-driven projects and initiatives
- Supports with project planning, discovery, business readiness, and adoption of streamlined and standardised end-to-end processes
- Ensures continuous improvements, enhancements, and projects striving toward first-class technological solutions
- Identify opportunities for automated solutions setting technological priorities and explore application capabilities
- Keeps informed of functional changes to the application advised in the Oracle maintenance packs
- Contributes to the development and maintenance of global end-to-end business processes, standards guidance, and technical system documentation
- May take the lead as a key focal point or subject matter expert for business implementation rollout or may provide ongoing post-go-live support
- Monitors, tracks, and manages quarterly system updates and engages with key business stakeholders to work through requirements
- Work closely with change management analyst to align and include activities, communications, training & education into functional project plans
- Provides accurate effort estimations, and supports the development of user requirements, testing plans and deployments
- Acts as a mentor and general support for less-experienced team members through both technical knowledge and leadership skills
- Manages assigned projects delivering to defined timescales using existing resources

Expected:
- Educated to degree level or relevant equivalent years of experience within systems
- Previous experience in a similar role for ERP solutions
- Able to effectively work with multi-disciplinary teams on regional and global levels
- with minimal supervision.
- Able to articulate business benefits of systems
- Knowledge of IT system delivery and change management processes aligned with a strong understanding of business operations and strategy
- Possesses functional systems processing expertise for assigned objectives
- Able to identify inefficiencies, seeks new ways to improve, and provides process improvement recommendations
- Able to design and implement standard business processes to ensure successful systems deployment
- Able to effectively work with all levels within functional teams to deploy and continue to develop systems landscape to provide value
- Excellent skills and understanding of writing systems and test scripts
- Excellent knowledge of the use of ERP solutions to support business strategy
