ERS - Strategic Marketing Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
The Strategic Marketing Manager is responsible for developing comprehensive programs that will drive measurable market growth for ERS and HVM. This role is responsible for identifying the appropriate segmentation and targets for growth, executing the marketing strategies needed to build awareness and capture sales opportunities, and collaborating with the Sales and Operations to pursue these growth opportunities. This role will also need to deliver against budget targets and measure and report on program KPIs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the marketing lifecycle from market analysis to planning to execution. This role demonstrates a collaborative approach between sales and marketing and is designed for an innovative self-starter. The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Conduct market and competitive research and analysis to establish marketing strategies and new growth opportunities
- Develop market segmentation and positioning for areas of focus
- Develop service offerings to capture market opportunities
- Develop and execute go-to-market plans that deliver against specified business results and revenue targets
- Develop marketing programs to generate sales and drive revenue growth
- Serve as subject matter expert of assigned program(s)
- Execute marketing plans that include events, public relations, social media, digital marketing and branding
- Establish and deliver against marketing program KPIs
- Create regular reporting cadence for specific marketing performance
- Conduct internal and external customer research to gain insights for decision making
- Generate relevant content for use in thought-leadership and promotional materials that advance the brand
- Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for marketing and areas of responsibility
- Present at external events and internal training and meetings
- Deliver sales enablement training and assets to support sales cycle
- Engage with cross-functional teams including corporate marketing, legal, finance, operations and sales
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
- Perform other duties as assigned and applicable
REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (ie. Excel [especially], PowerPoint, Access, Word, Outlook)
- Strong written, project management, and presentation skills
- Strong communication skills to all levels of the organization from peers to executive management
- Self-starter
- Based in Westerville, OH

EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Strategy, or related field required -- MBA preferred
- Broad based understanding of marketing is essential. Knowledge of the electrical industry and power generation market is a plus.
- Digital marketing experience is a plus
- Experience with services marketing or product management
- Experience with Pardot and Sharepoint is a plus
- 10-15 years of experience
