ETL Developer

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop ETL jobs in Informatica against Relational databases and Flat files.
• Gathering business requirements and creating technical specifications and ETL mapping documents.
• Work closely with Datamodelling team and DBAs.
• Develop Unix Shell Scripts for jobs automation.
• Develop error handling capabilities and Performance tuning.
• Develop and execute Unit test plan and support SIT/UAT testing.
• Troubleshoot & analyze production issues and provide support (including off-hours at times)

Required Skills/Experience:

• 6+ years of Datawarehouse and Business Intelligence design and development
• 5+ years of experience in ETL Development, using Informatica. Informatica 8.6.1 would be plus
• Troubleshoot ETL failures, defects and remediate them. Experience in resolving ETL performance issues.
• Strong Unix and Windows Scripting skills.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Oracle 10g or later, with a proven ability to perform thorough analysis. Teradata experience a plus.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle for Datawarehouse and Business Intelligence projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or on a team with high motivation and quick learning.
• Excellent analytical, technical aptitude and proven ability to solve problems and the ability to engage effectively with business and technical teams.
