Event Chef Supervisor - Marigolds and Onions

We are seeking experienced Chef Supervisors to join our Special Events culinary team for a busy season of events across the GTA. This role is responsible for overseeing kitchen operations on-site, managing culinary staff, ensuring food quality and safety standards, and executing event
production efficiently in fast-paced environments.
Chef Supervisors play a critical leadership role in ensuring successful event execution while maintaining the high standards associated with the Marigolds & Onions brand.
We are hiring Chef Supervisors to support our culinary operations at two major sporting events:
RBC Canadian Open
- TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley - Alton, ON
- June 8 - 14
National Bank Open
- Sobeys Stadium - North York, ON
- August 1 – 13
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up kitchen workspaces with appropriate stock, equipment, and supplies required for service
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure all cooking utensils and kitchen equipment are clean and properly maintained before use
- Ensure compliance with all food health and safety regulations
- Monitor food production timing to align with event itineraries and service schedules
- Plan and direct activities related to menu preparation and food production
- Instruct cooks in food preparation, cooking techniques, garnishing, and presentation
- Supervise specialist chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff during event operations
- Ensure food portions and presentation meet company standards and product specifications
- Maintain a positive, professional, and productive kitchen environment
- Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams
- Coordinate loading, transportation, and delivery of food and equipment to event locations as required
- Troubleshoot operational challenges and adapt quickly in dynamic event environments
