Event Experience Specialist

WA Cricket is looking for an energetic and creative Event Experience Specialist to help deliver the excitement, atmosphere and magic behind some of WA’s biggest cricket events. From the electric energy of Perth Scorchers match days and fan zones to community activations, entertainment experience, you'll play a pivotal role in creating moments that fans remember long after the final ball is bowled.

This is more than event coordination, it's about creating experiences that inspire passion, build connections and bring our brands to life. You'll lead the planning and delivery of innovative event presentation and fan engagement initiatives that captivate audiences, enhance the game day atmosphere and strengthen the connection between our fans, communities and the sport they love.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Planning and delivering match day event presentation and fan engagement activities across Perth Scorchers and WA Cricket events.
  • Coordinating fan experiences including fan zones, community activations, giveaways, entertainment programs, Fan Day and other key events.
  • Managing event suppliers, contractors and stakeholders to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Recruiting, training and leading casual event staff and volunteers, creating a positive and high-performing match day team.
  • Working closely with internal departments, Cricket Australia, venue partners, local government and external stakeholders to deliver integrated event experiences.
  • Preparing operational documentation including run sheets, risk assessments, permits and compliance requirements.
  • Monitoring event budgets and expenditure to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Evaluating event performance and fan engagement outcomes, providing insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement.

You'll bring:

Essential

  • Tertiary qualification in Event Management or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering events within sport, entertainment, festivals, live events or corporate environments.
  • Proven ability to plan, coordinate and execute successful events from concept through to delivery.
  • Sound understanding of event risk management principles and experience identifying and mitigating operational risks.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with strong written communication and administrative skills.
  • Experience leading and coordinating contractors, casual staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality event outcomes.
  • Strong negotiation, financial management and budgeting capabilities.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, adapt to changing circumstances and respond effectively to unexpected challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across a broad range of stakeholders.
