Events Marketing Specialist
We’re hiring an Event Marketing Specialist to plan and execute a range of sponsored events. These events include sponsorships with ecosystem and tech partners, industry organizations, and community groups as well as custom forums. This role works closely with colleagues across the Marketing + Communications (M+C) team, Accenture Federal business, and Accenture (M+C) to bring to life our differentiated capabilities, expertise, and impact through these event platforms and advance our business and marketing objectives.
You are highly organized and detail oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, fluid, matrix environment. You bring a demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities with strong project management, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
The work:
- Lead overall event planning, program management, and execution of multiple complex events (large-scale, multi-component, executive-level) simultaneously
- Execute event programs end to end, including event asset management, logistics management (including sponsorship assessment, venue selection, on-the-ground planning, booth build and event production), know-before-you-go resources, event calendar updates, policy compliance, and ROI tracking.
- Work closely with M+C and business partners to evaluate and recommend sponsorship benefits
- Liaise with multiple stakeholders in Accenture Federal Services (across the Marketing + Communications team and key business stakeholders) and with outside organizations/vendors
- Post-event close/wrap (including event analytics, documentation, surveys, etc.)
- Professional presence and ability to interact with multiple points of contact across functional groups at various career levels, including executive
- Proactive, self-starter who is motivated and driven to make a difference with the team
- Attention to detail and high-quality work outputs
- Well organized with program management skills and an ability to manage multiple work streams and programs simultaneously
- Strong team player, willing to collaborate for best results across multiple teams
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
What you need:
- US Citizenship.
- Metro Washington, DC area-based with the ability to travel occasionally to select US-based events with advance notice.
- Flexibility to support events outside of traditional office hours.
- Minimum of 3 years of event management and/or marketing activation experience.
Bonus if you have:
- Experience working with the US federal or public sector industry (military or civilian).
- Experience working in a business-to-business or business-to-government environment (military or civilian).
- Experience in B2B events or B2B marketing activation (military or civilian).
- Bachelor’s degree
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
