EVS Attendant HD

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all carpets, hard floors, and any other floor work of the casino under the EVS department.
  • Responsible for all areas that need to be cleaned and/or serviced.
  • Sweeps, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors.
  • Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
  • Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
  • Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
  • Dusts furniture and equipment.
  • Polishes metalwork.
  • Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
  • Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Empties waste baskets and empties and cleans ashtrays.
  • Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
  • Replenishes bathroom supplies. Replaces light bulbs.
  • Delivers messages.
  • Transports small equipment or tools between departments.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the appropriate cleaning product is used.
  • Reports any problems or altercations to the Property Services Supervisor.
  • Uses proper courtesy skills when working around guests and answering questions.
  • Displays an energetic attitude while working with guests and employees.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Cleaning experience preferred
  • Minimum 1 year work experience in a restaurant or casino, either front of house or back of house
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the Casino.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, push up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned area.
  • Must be able to stand for the majority of assigned shift.
  • Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers.
