EVS Attendant HD
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all carpets, hard floors, and any other floor work of the casino under the EVS department.
- Responsible for all areas that need to be cleaned and/or serviced.
- Sweeps, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors.
- Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
- Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
- Dusts furniture and equipment.
- Polishes metalwork.
- Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
- Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
- Empties waste baskets and empties and cleans ashtrays.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Replenishes bathroom supplies. Replaces light bulbs.
- Delivers messages.
- Transports small equipment or tools between departments.
- Responsible for ensuring that the appropriate cleaning product is used.
- Reports any problems or altercations to the Property Services Supervisor.
- Uses proper courtesy skills when working around guests and answering questions.
- Displays an energetic attitude while working with guests and employees.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Cleaning experience preferred
- Minimum 1 year work experience in a restaurant or casino, either front of house or back of house
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the Casino.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, push up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned area.
- Must be able to stand for the majority of assigned shift.
- Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers.
