Executive Correspondence Management Analyst
This position is part of the Office of Management, Office of the Executive Secretariat, Department of Energy. As a Executive Correspondence Management Analyst, you will be proofreading and editing executive correspondence and documents for the Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and Under Secretaries of Energy, assuring materials are accurate, grammatically correct, follow appropriate formats, and promote clear Government communication that the public can understand and use.

As an Executive Correspondence Management Analyst, GS-12, you will: Edit and proofread high-level executive correspondence, documents, and congressional reports to ensure grammatical correctness, appropriate style, and compliance with agency and federal plain writing standards. Review and analyze draft packages to ensure they accurately reflect current Administration policies, departmental guidelines, and appropriate official positions before final signature. Manage and track the lifecycle of assigned correspondence portfolios to ensure documents move smoothly and meet strict deadlines during drafting, clearance, and approval. Serve as a liaison between senior leadership and program offices, providing technical guidance, and regular training to resolve recurring document issues. Generate and analyze periodic and ad hoc tracking reports on document status and overdue actions using electronic web-based database management systems. Develop recommendations and coordinate special projects to improve correspondence policies, streamline workflows, and resolve complex or systemic communication issues.
