What you'll be doing

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender documentation for corporate retail and interior fit-out projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client requirements
  • Analyse project plans, drawings, and specifications to identify all necessary materials, labour, and equipment
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and subcontractors to gather and validate cost information
  • Conduct site measurement, when required
  • Develop comprehensive cost breakdowns and provide recommendations to optimise project budgets
  • Participate in project planning and review meetings to provide estimation expertise
  • Assist in preparing variation order and progress claims
  • Assist in finalising project accounts
  • Maintain and update cost databases and historical records to enhance future estimating efforts

What we're looking For:

  • Diploma/Degree holder in Quantity Survey, Contracts Management or related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a construction or interior fit-out estimation role
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, labour, and equipment costs, as well as relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve estimation discrepancies
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Proficient in the use of estimation software and Microsoft Office suite
