Job Description:

Pas Lawatan Kerja Sementara (PLKS) Endorsement of new arrival workers

  • Monitor the unsubmitted passports by the respective OUs.
  • Ensure passports are promptly received from OUs.
  • Checking and verification of medical checkup.
  • Prompt submission of endorsement without any delay.
  • Monitor of passports at JIM for endorsement process.
  • To identify process improvements to minimize endorsement period.
  • Implementing the new process changes according to the new authority requirements.

PLKS Abscondment and permit cancellation

  • Verify the abscondment cases submission by OUs.
  • Prepare permit cancellation documents to JIM.
  • Prepare and surrender passport to the embassy.
  • Monitor cancellation process at JIM.

Payment of PLKS

  • Monitor the PLKS payment in the JIM portal.
  • Prepare the reconciliation for payment process.
  • Ensure the payments and charges to the OUs are accurate.
  • Ensure payments must be made before the approvals expired.

Physical passport movements to/from JIM

  • Monitor and follow-up the Senarai Syak cases at JIM
  • Prepare the documents for new passport update and rectification of passport issues at JIM
  • Ensure proper records of all passport movements.
  • Monitor the movements of passports to JIM must be physically returned to the office.

Liaison with Internal/External Parties

  • Communicate with the OUs including the Managers, Executive on the work permit queries and status/updates.
  • Educate to create awareness at the OUs on the work permit management.
  • Liaise with FWCMS, FOMEMA, SOCSO and JIM on any renewal submission issues.

Policies and Procedures of PLKS Operations

  • Regularly review and update the policies and procedures according to the process changes.
  • Propose any process improvements to be included in the policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with the policies and procedures.
  • Promote awareness of the policies and procedures of passport management.

Reporting

  • Prepare periodic weekly renewal report to identify the weekly operation status.
  • Prepare any report required by the management.
  • Ensure the data accuracy for reporting.

Job Requirement

  • Degree in Human Resource related field or equivalent
  • Experience and knowledge in managing foreign worker permit documentations and operations.
