Job Description:

  • In charge of all shipments of PGR products in packed form for overseas destinations.
  • Receipt, check and amend accordingly all letters of credit from finance department.
  • Updating of shipping schedule/forecast – weekly and forward months for specialty fats.
  • Check complete shipping documents before submitting them to finance. Coordinate with Marketing and Production on customer requirements.
  • Respond to all queries from buyers, Marketing and other internal customers. Monitoring container movement and booking of vessel.
  • Oversee shipping staff in documentation and corresponding with independent laboratories, Surveyors, MITI, Health Department, Agriculture Department and Chamber of Commerce.
  • Liaise with in relation to buyer’s requirements for documentation and shipment details. Engage service providers for continual process improvement and cost saving for the company.
  • Generation reports for the dept monthly.
  • Supervise daily movements, inbound and outbound.
  • To compile incidental charges for the department on a monthly basis and prepare in power point format.
  • Manage the Logistics Service providers’ performance.
  • To prepare all department related reports for the Shipping, Logistics, Warehouse.
  • To initiate and drive improvement/cost savings for all sections of the department.
  • To manage the liaison with Government depts. and agencies to support and enhance the logistics services provided for internal and external customers of SDGI.
  • To discharge any other duties given by the Shipping and Logistic Manager from time to time.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Shipping, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in shipping operations/documentation (fresh graduates with internship experience are encouraged to apply).
  • Knowledge of freight, vessel chartering, and shipping regulations preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Adaptable and willing to take on new challenges
