EXECUTIVE SURVEYOR / SURVEYOR

Job Description

You will be part of a survey team in planning, executing and finalising survey works pertaining to the construction of Rail and Road projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and aligning multiple survey-related contracts, including topographical surveys, utilities identification, trial trenches, and scan to BIM works, ensuring effective collaboration across teams.

  • Developing and maintaining common templates, checklists, and working standards to enhance the consistency and efficiency of survey deliverables.

  • Supporting the transition of pilot initiatives into standard operational practices to promote continuous improvement.

  • Strengthening data structuring and GIS readiness of survey outputs to facilitate downstream use by internal users and enhance data accessibility.

  • Providing technical coordination support to delivery officers, with governance matters escalated to senior officers as necessary to ensure compliance with project standards and regulations.

    Requirements:

    • Knowledge in Land Surveying, Geomatics, or a closely related discipline, with strong exposure to survey work

    • A solid understanding of survey workflows and deliverables, including topographical surveys, as-built records, survey control, and utilities-related survey data

    • An appreciation for how survey outputs are utilized by downstream users, with the capability to enhance deliverables to ensure they are technically correct and fit‑for‑use

    • Working knowledge of GIS concepts and spatial data handling

    • Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills, with a proficient command of English

    • A resourceful, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset, demonstrating the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

    • Exposure to infrastructure project environments, digital survey technologies, or data/automation initiatives will be advantageous
