Exercise Physiologist I: Per Diem Variable Weekdays, Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center OP Cardiac Rehab

Atlantic Health is searching for a qualified Per Diem Exercise Physiologist for Atlantic Health's Cardiac Rehab Department at Chilton Medical Center (Pompton Plains, NJ)

This exciting opportunity requires an Exercise Physiologist with strong clinical and customer service skills. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in delivering cardiac rehab services centered around improving quality of life and outcomes.

• Collaborates on Initial assessment and treatment plan design of both our
  outpatient cardiac rehab and Supervised Exercise Therapy for Peripheral Artery
  Disease patients.
  
• Provides exercise supervision of all cardiac rehab and SET-PAD patients.
  
• Assists team in maintaining appropriate exercise guidance to aid in optimal
  patient outcomes.
  
• Demonstrates ability to identify signs and symptoms to provide safe and
  effective environment. Understands when to escalate and report urgent and nonurgent
  clinical needs of patients.
  
• Has understanding of appropriate physiological changes during cardiac rehab
  sessions and how to apply to exercise planning.
  
• Demonstrates EC G screening and monitoring competency.
  
• Provides risk factor education to patients.
  
• Helps drive patient outcome collection and improvement.
  
• Communicates effectively with other team members and medical staff to
  maximize patient success and safety.
  
• Delivers education to team members and patients in exercise
  principles.
  
• Works with entire Cardiac Rehab and leadership team in mentoring new
  employees and interns.
  
• Collaborates on projects to support the department and the cardiovascular
  service line.
  
• Demonstrates strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
  
• Other duties may be assigned.

Bachelors Degree-Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science is required

Basic Life Support -BLS, is required

Experience in Cardiac Rehab is strongly preferred
