Expeditor Associate

Responsibilities

As an Expeditor Associate, you will perform a variety of duties required to offer our customers world-class service and support. We will also count on you to use your strong customer service skills when interacting with suppliers and internal associates of our business unit.

The overall goal is to partner with our Service Center operations team to provide first class service for our customers. This will help grow our business with existing customers, develop new customers, and meet or exceed monthly sales goals while increasing customer satisfaction.

Expectations

  • Perform various office duties with focus on entering the acknowledged data we receive from our purchase orders from our suppliers while ensuring accuracy of details.
  • Reviewing reconciliation reports to compare the transactions that occurred the prior day are accurate and complete.
  • Run and work daily reports utilizing both verbal and written skills.
  • Communicate with suppliers concerning late shipments and or unacknowledged purchase orders as well as our internal personnel whose customers/orders are affected by these inadequacies.
  • Assist in extracurricular duties from other departments such as kitting for the warehouse or Cycle Counting of inventory.
  • Assist in various system pricing updates as they occur.

Requirements

  • 1+ yr+ proven customer service / office environment.
  • Basic computer skills, accurate data entry skills, math & mechanical aptitude, basic reading skills
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR)
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of industrial distribution products
  • Warehouse experience
