We are looking for a reliable and hands\-on External <\/span><\/span>Cleaning\nOperative<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>to join\nour dedicated team at Port Solent. This is a varied, practical role in a busy\noutdoor environment, supporting the smooth running and cleanliness of a popular\nshopping and leisure destination.<\/span><\/span>
<\/p>

In this role, you will be responsible for a range of manual\ntasks including moving commercial waste bins, operating specialist equipment\n(such as a T300 scrubber dryer, kerb sweeper, gum removal machine, waste\ncompactor and cardboard baler), and ensuring external areas are clean, safe and\npresentable. You will need to be comfortable with physical work, working\noutdoors in all weather, and using machinery safely. Full training will be\nprovided.<\/span><\/span>

Shifts start from 7:00am, so you must be able to reliably\ntravel to Port Solent (PO6 4TP) for this start time.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

  • Clean\n and maintain designated outdoor areas in line with the site\u2019s cleaning\n specifications.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Maintain\n the cleanliness and presentation of public areas, ensuring the site\n remains tidy, safe, and welcoming for all visitors.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Empty\n waste and recycling bins, ensuring materials are sorted and disposed of\n appropriately.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Respond\n promptly to spills or hazards to maintain a safe environment for visitors,\n tenants and staff.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Operate\n a range of site\-specific machinery and equipment, including the scrubber\n dryer, kerb sweeper, gum remover, and compacting/baling units.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Carry\n out basic service road cleaning and maintenance duties as required.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Provide\n friendly, helpful service to customers, tenants and visitors on site.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Comply\n with all Health & Safety and COSHH regulations at all times.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Support\n the wider site team when needed, maintaining a strong team ethic and\n positive attitude.<\/span><\/span>

    Requirements<\/h3>
    • A\n practical, dependable individual with a good eye for detail<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Comfortable\n carrying out manual work in an outdoor setting<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Willingness\n to learn and operate cleaning and waste\-handling machinery (training\n provided)<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Good\n communication skills and a proactive approach to customer service<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Flexible to provide cover, as and when required<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Previous\n experience in cleaning, grounds maintenance, or facilities support is\n beneficial but not essential<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • You must be able to commute to Port Solent (PO6\n4TP<\/span><\/span>) for shifts as early as 7:00am<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/span>
