About the Role
We’re looking for an External Wholesaler to work directly with our co-founder and serve as a trusted partner to financial advisors and RIA firms throughout their journey with SyntheticFi.
In this role, you’ll help advisors successfully onboard and learn about SyntheticFi’s products and services, navigate client scenarios, and maximize the value advisors and clients receive from our platform. You’ll become a key relationship manager and advocate for advisors while collaborating closely with product, engineering, operations, and leadership to continuously improve the advisor and client experience. You will also help advisors navigate conversations with clients. Unlike many traditional wholesaler roles, this position requires little to no frequent travel, allowing you to build deep advisor relationships while maintaining a more balanced and flexible work environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience selling to or building a relationship with financial advisors or RIAs, either externally or internally.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for financial advisors and RIA firms throughout their journey with SyntheticFi.
- Lead advisor onboarding and guide new advisors through our products, processes, and platforms. Help advisors evaluate client scenarios and understand how SyntheticFi’s solutions can support their clients’ financial goals. Build long-term relationships that drive adoption, engagement, and retention.
- Participate in client meetings, educational sessions, webinars, and other client-facing interactions as needed.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to resolve issues and improve the overall product and customer experience. Support testing and rollout of new products and operational workflows.
- Identify opportunities to improve advisor usage and adoption, and build tools to improve internal efficiency.
- Contribute to documentation, training materials, and scalable processes as the company grows.
- Travel no more than once per quarter for business development: this role does NOT require frequent travels.
What We’re Looking For

3-10 years of experience as a wholesaler in a financial product provider (ETF issuers, asset managers, insurance/annuities, retirement, etc) or an advisor solutions/service provider (wealthtech, advisortech, etc.)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and build trusted relationships.

Strong product and builder mindset, looking to iteratively improve and optimize products and processes, given advisor and client feedback

Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-moving startup environment.
Nice to Have
- Currently working in an Internal Wholesaler role is a plus
- Background in financial derivatives is a plus. Candidates without experience in derivatives are expected to work with the team to formulate a personalized training plan and gain relevant exposure within 1 month of joining SyntheticFi.
- Experience with launching and iterating on new products is a plus.
- Experience coordinating complex systems and cross-functional initiatives is a plus.
- Experience working in a startup setting is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- FINRA Series 65 or Series 7 + Series 66. Candidates without appropriate licenses are expected to pass S65 within 1 month of joining SyntheticFi.
Location Requirements
- Must be based in the United States.
- Candidates located in the Pacific, Mountain, or Central time zones are strongly preferred to facilitate collaboration with the team and clients.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $120,000 – $150,000
- Commission: Uncapped; On-Target Earnings equal to approximately 40% of base salary
- Equity: 0.10% - 0.25%
