About the location:
Your own private paradise on a lush coral island. On Desroches Island, there is nothing to distract you from tranquillity, save for the sound of birds singing and an ocean breeze that invites you to come a little closer. We’re the only resort on this captivating coral island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, where the beaches belong to no one and everyone at the same time. Our rustic villas and suites are intimate retreats and will make you feel like a castaway who has struck gold.1. The ability to set up the host/hostess stand, review the reservation book and make recommendations as to the set up of the room.
2. The ability to receive and record guests' reservations and assign tables
3. The ability to open the restaurant for business at the prescribed time each shift.
4. The ability to inspect the cleanliness of each section of the dining room and the private dining rooms and make necessary improvements as well as check each table prior to opening to ensure its proper set.
5. The ability to pick up the menus and insert them properly in their covers.
6. The ability to inspect every menu and list to ensure their condition and appearance.
7. The ability to develop a complete working knowledge of the menus, menu ingredients and what is unavailable for the day.
8. The ability assign seating taking into account service standards.
9. The ability to know the server stations, their daily assignments, their personal timing patterns and their maximum workload capacity.
10. The ability to maintain a station chart and cover count for the restaurant.
11. The ability to ensure you conform to the standards of service and personally ensure each guest receives the highest quality of service.
12. The ability to greet each guest promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact, a smile and good posture.
13. The ability to handle guests without reservations or those waiting for others to join them.
14. The ability to handle lost and found items.
15. The ability to seat reservations promptly at a table pre-set for the number in the party.
16. The ability to hold chairs for guests as often as possible when seating them.
17. The ability to address guests by name whenever possible.
18. The ability to speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, and attend to complaints
19. The ability to address a guest dissatisfaction immediately and inform the manager of the action taken.
20. The ability to answer telephones according to Four Seasons' standards and take reservations or provide information regarding the restaurant or any other hotel service.
21. The ability to anticipate the needs of guests while scanning the room constantly.
22. The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
23. The ability to order necessary stationary supplies and equipment
24. The ability to supervise and co-ordinate activities of food and beverage servers and other serving staff
25. The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.

27. Perform any other duties as assigned by Management.
