Position Summary
Hope Valley Country Club is seeking an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to support daily operations and help deliver exceptional experience for members and their guests. This role plays a key part in leading front-of-house service teams, maintaining high standards of service, and assisting with club dining, events, and special functions.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist with daily management of all food and beverage operations, including dining outlets, banquets, and special events
- Lead and supervise front-of-house staff to ensure consistently exceptional service
- Support hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management of service staff
- Maintain a visible presence on the floor, engaging with members and guests to ensure satisfaction
- Collaborate closely with the culinary team to ensure seamless service execution
- Assist in planning and executing club events, tournaments, and private functions
- Monitor service quality, cleanliness, and overall presentation of dining areas
- Support inventory management, ordering, cost controls, and COGS tracking
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Handle member feedback professionally and resolve service-related concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in food and beverage operations, hospitality management, or private club dining
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong guest-service mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop service teams
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and beverage service
- Experience with banquet and event service a plus
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
