Facilities Assistant

1. JOBPURPOSE

The jobholder assists the Operations Department to ensure the smooth operations of the nursing home.

2. DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES

2.1 Primary Responsibilities and Duties (80%)

2.1.1 Assisting with daily operations and routine maintenance of building systems, including ACMV, plumbing and electrical systems.

2.1.2 Performing minor repairs and coordinating with vendors or contractors for larger maintenance tasks.

2.1.3 Managing inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and proper functioning.

2.1.4 Setting up and maintaining meeting rooms, office spaces and common areas.

2.1.5 Supporting groundskeeping, janitorial duties and safety protocols, including compliance with health and safety regulations.

2.1.6 To attend to all service request daily.

2.1.7 Ensure quality standards in all operational needs of the Nursing Home.

2.1.8 To report to Manger (Operations) on all operational and management matters.

2.2 Secondary Responsibilities and duties (20%)

2.2.1 Assist in all procurement process according to finance guidelines and best practices as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

2.2.2 Liaising with all suppliers and vendors.

2.2.3 Assist immediate supervisor on all monitoring of all service contracts to ensure all services are professionally delivered.

2.2.4 Any other relevant work as assigned by supervisor.
