Facilities Maintenance Tech I

General Position Summary:

Performs technical duties as required under the guidance of the Engineer. Installs, maintains and repairs equipment and facility.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

• Installs, maintains and repairs facility, equipment and grounds
• Monitors and make adjustments and repairs as necessary to facility systems and equipment (as requested by the shift Engineer)
• Works with other departments solving engineering related complaints and problems

Secondary Functions:

• Perform other job related duties as assigned

Specific Job Skills:

• Ability to use hand and power tools, safely and efficiently
• Ability to use a multi-meter
• Must be able to troubleshoot equipment using a schematic or wiring diagram
• Experience in all aspects of building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry and refrigeration
• Some administrative abilities needed
