Job Summary:
The Facilities Specialist is responsible for maintenance and repair of the overall facilities and all supporting mechanical, electronic, electrical for warehouse type training facility. The Facilities Technician performs general repairs as well as preventative, predictive and routine maintenance to ensure all facility support functions and equipment are in continuous working order. While performing these duties, the Facilities Technician will be required to stand; use hands and fingers to work with tools and small parts; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, climb, balance, kneel, and crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that facility machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building is maintained.
Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the Facility and Shooting Range to include taking out trash, scrubbing range floors with machine, and wiping/scrubbing various areas within the facility.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively.
Perform minor carpentry and facility upkeep tasks, including drywall patching, painting, and floor sanding as needed.
Demonstrate strong manual dexterity and physical stamina to complete assigned tasks.
Monitor and maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
Conduct daily inspections of the overall facility, shooting range and all supporting equipment and systems.
Coordinate, oversee and/or manage repair and maintenance work assignments performed by vendors and contractors performing maintenance and janitorial work
Troubleshoot equipment and system issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches, as well as measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices
Read and interpret technical documents, manuals and drawings to assist in performing required diagnostics, maintenance and routine service for all machinery and equipment
Work safely and confidently in elevated spaces, including rooftop access areas.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum High School Diploma or GED
Possess or able to possess a Government Clearance
3 or more years of hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, electronic and/or HVAC systems
Experience patching drywall, painting, and sanding floors.
Demonstrate good communication skills,
Ability to document repair work and generate reports
Strong work ethic with the ability to work in a fluid environment
Quality and Safety Minded, experience with OSHA standards preferred
Must be results driven and a self-starter, able to work well with minimal supervision
Positive & proactive attitude with ability to address issues and implement solutions
Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures
Education / training in electronics and electrical systems preferred
Must be available to work weekdays, evenings or weekends as business needs require, with flexibility to adjust schedules and cover shifts when needed.
Must comply with all Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) regulations and requirements.
Experience with MS Office Suite, inputting information into databases

Ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance
Favorable credit Check.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Standing/Walking/Mobility: 75% - 100% of the time.
Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 75% - 100% of the time.
Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 75% - 100% of the time, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Fine Motor Skills/Dexterity: Must be able to write, type and use a telephone system up to 25% of the time.
